About me

International prize winner Haleh has been a professional theatre maker with over 25 years experience. She studied theatre at Tehran Art University and since internationally with diverse group from universities to communities as a teacher and facilitator for stage theatre work. As a professional actor she has acted on long running TV series and is trained in TV and Radio.
Haleh is the leader of Odyssey theatre group which is an independent cross countries theatre collective in Manchester. She specialised in empowering the amateur actors to find their journey and becoming a professional one.
She is also a portrait photographer and worked as a festival judge in both field, theatre and photography.
Previous employers includes The Royal Exchange Theatre.
She is a published poet and a keen of Soofi dance.

Biography

Prize-winning professional actor and theatre-maker Haleh Jalali has over 25 years experience. She studied Theatre at Tehran Art University and Media based on TV & Radio at Hopwood Hall College in Manchester, and has since worked internationally as a teacher and facilitator for stage theatre work with diverse groups from Universities to communities. As a professional actor she has acted on long running TV series. Previous employers have included The Royal Exchange Theatre, Education Department and National Media (Iran).
Haleh is currently the leader of Odyssey Theatre Group – an independent cross-cultural theatre collective based in Manchester. She specialises in finding and developing hidden talents within emerging actors, and has also been a teacher in theatre and myths for 20 years.
 
Haleh is also a portrait photographer and has worked as a festival judge in both theatre and photography. She is a published poet and a keen of Sufi dance.
